Sixty Feet is an organization that was started by normal people like you and me with families and jobs and lives. God spoke to these people about the need to care for children in dire circumstances and they responded, first by building a well to get clean water to a children's remand center in Africa. Then they staffed the remand center with missionaries who teach the kids about Jesus. Nurses come regularly and provide medical care. Through the work of Sixty Feet, these children are not forgotten.
There are so many wrongs in this world that it just seems like one can't do anything about. Sometimes even hearing about one more injustice gets overwhelming. If I were to tell you a story about imprisoned children on another continent, you may start to feel that way.
The thought is almost so hard to imagine that we just don't want to believe it's happening or we can't fathom what we could possibly do about it.
But the good news is, by God's grace, we can all do something to love these children.
Can you bake cupcakes?
Share a video?
Sponsor a child?
Put a button on your blog?
Wear a t-shirt?
Start a conversation?
Then you can do something to share the hope of Christ with children a world away.
Please, take a moment, read about our time at the remand center, "M." See how God's love penetrates even that dark place. Read about ordinary people who have radically altered their lives to follow a calling from God to care for these kids. Hear the story about how all of this began. See what God is doing now.
Then ask yourself - what would God have you do for these children?
